Charlotte’s Course
Around the Crown 10K Together with Truist is a race rooted in Charlotte from every angle and this course showcases that. When we reworked our course in 2026, we knew had to make it one that was built for even more growth in the years to come.
The course starts in the heart of Uptown amongst the beautiful museums like the Bechler, Mint, and Harvey B. Gantt Center. The updated course now takes you towards South End with a downhill first mile to kick things into high gear. Just before mile 2, you'll hit our first water stop as you cross Charlotte's infamous inner beltway looking over thousands of runners. Now, you're on one of America's coolest courses the next 3 miles taking up all of the inner lanes of I-277 wrapping around center city. Exiting the highway, you've only got one mile to go and the Truist Cheer Station is going to make you feel like it's your fastest one through beautiful tree-lined streets. To cap off the amazing day, you head to the finish festival at Truist Field for a family friendly party in the ballpark!
